- INDEPENDENCE DAY 15th AUGUST, 2010
Rajhans celebrated the 63rd Independence Day with pride and patriotic fervor. Not withstanding an over east sky, the tiranga was hoisted by the chief guest Lt. Col. Hardeep Multani followed immediately by the rendition of the National Anthem.
A bunch of tri-coloured balloons was released at the same moment which went soaring high up in the sky defining the limit of aspirations of the Indians. A short cultural programme imbued the atmosphere with patriotic feelings. Next, it was time for the members of the newly elected Students Prefectorial Council headed by School Captain Anadi Mishra to take charge of the council from their seniors. The badges and sashes were handed over by the chief guest to the respective house captains and vice captains.
The programme concluded with a brief speech by the chief guest who reminded the students of their responsibility to protect the unity and integrity of the country at any cost. Chief guest Lt. Col. Hardeep Multani has diligently served the Indian Army for 21 ½ years and is currently the Regional Manager of security, Western India, in King Fisher Airlines.

BEST OF LUCK FOR THE NEW STUDENTS COUNCIL
- 26th January, 2010 SPORTS DAY
- Sports and games are excellent teachers; they teach us lessons of life like healthy competition, sportsmanship, team work and discipline; which go a long way to make a perfect citizen; a perfect Man.
And what better way could our school find to pay tribute to India’s 60th Republic Day than organizing its 24th Annual Sports meet on 26th January, 2010.
Beaming with enthusiasm, the children assembled in the lush green lawn of the school. The chief guest for the occasion; Mr. ABBAS MOONTASIR, (Arjuna Awardee, Indian Capt. Basketball) hoisted the Tiranga and thereafter declared the meet open. The torch bearers carried the flame round the field which was followed by the solemn oath taking ceremony and the March Past(of the 4 houses). Next was the display by the primary section which included Malkhamb, Yoga, the P.T. drill and Musical display. However, the star attractions of the day were the races. The ever zealous parents and the peons were also involved in the day’s event through 3 legged race for parents and book balancing race for the peons.
Amidst thunderous applause, the trophies were given away to the winners, including the champion trophy which went to Kabir house like every good thing, the meet came to an end with a short and inspirational speech by the Chief guest.
- JANUARY 2010
- Nothing succeeds like success and for our MRITTIKA SEN, All India CBSE topper (2008-2009), her cup of joy and honour seems to be overflowing. Along with receiving the prestigious Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship, the latest feather in her already ‘crowded with – accolades’ cup is the invitation from the Prime Minister’s office to be one of the special guest to attend the REPUBLIC DAY parade. Mrittika Sen joins the hallowed club of 100 special achievers who are invited every year to witness the parade along with the Prime Minister himself. We, from Rajhans Vidyalaya wish Mrittika many more such moments of jubiliation in future.
- SHRAM DAAN DIVAS
This year was a slight departure from the usual way Rajhans Vidyalaya observes the death anniversary of its beloved patron, Bai Kabibai Hansraj.

Believing in the philosophy that the smallest good deed is better than the greatest good intention, our school observed the day as Shram Daan Divas or Service through Labour. From Primary to Senior Secondary, the whole school was virtually transformed into a bee-hive. All around the school, not only students but peons, teachers and even the Principal was seen cleaning, dusting, sweeping and painting the school premises and the classrooms with unprecedented ardour. Thanks to the effort of the senior students, the backyard of the school was transformed into a beautiful garden with saplings being planted to commemorate the day. At the end of the day, the students left the school spic and span and a big smile of contentment on their faces for they realized that service to the community, is the best way to pay homage to the founder of their school who was a true philanthrophic.
- DECEMBER 2009
- The Rajhans Annual day has over the years earned a reputation of being unique, creative and original in its presentation. Involving as many eager students as possible, this year’s Annual day was indeed a riot of colours, music, dance, comedy and fun. Presenting the nine human moods or ‘NAVRAS’ through ballet, the children brought out aesthetically the essence of each mood. The English play presented by the Senior secondary section was the icing on the cake. Taking a dig at the present education system, the play ‘Refund’ kept the audience in splits. The Annual day concluded with the prize distribution ceremony.
